Day One: Arrival in Tashkent
After the airport transfer and some time to freshen up, we will meet at the hotel near the airport and city centre, and then dine together at a local restaurant.
Day Two: Tashkent - Samarkand
After breakfast, we take a high-speed train to Samarkand, one of Uzbekistan’s most historic cities and a key stop on the ancient Silk Road. In the evening, we visit Registan Square, once the heart of the city and a centre of learning in the medieval era. Here, we capture its grand madrasas adorned with intricate tilework. As the sun sets and the lights illuminate the square, Samarkand’s rich heritage comes to life, offering stunning photo opportunities.
Day Three: Sunrise Photoshoot of Samarkand
Today will be a special day. At dawn, we’ll photograph a local model in traditional Uzbek attire with Samarkand’s madrasahs and minarets as a backdrop. Our guide will offer tips to help you get the best shots. After the shoot, we’ll explore both famous landmarks and hidden corners of the city, learning about its history. In the evening, we’ll walk through historic streets, try local food, interact with residents, and capture more photos of Samarkand’s lively atmosphere.
Day Four: Samarkand and Bukhara
Early in the morning, we’ll photograph the quiet streets of Samarkand, capturing its squares and historic buildings at dawn. This peaceful time lets us appreciate the architecture and take photos in the soft morning light. After breakfast, we take a high-speed train to Bukhara. Once there, we’ll explore the old city, photographing the lively streets, markets, and people in traditional clothing, capturing the energy of this historic city.
Day Five: Bukhara and Overnight Train
Early in the morning, we’ll have a photo session in the heart of Bukhara with a local model in traditional dress, offering new perspectives to capture. In the evening, we’ll walk through the busy streets, photographing daily life—merchants, children, and the vibrant atmosphere of the old city. Afterward, we’ll have dinner at a local restaurant, review our photos, and share thoughts from the day. Later, we’ll board an overnight train to Khiva, the next stop on our journey.
Day Six: Xiva
Around midday, our train arrives in Khiva, a small town on the edge of the Kara-Kum desert and an important stop on the Great Silk Road. With a history of over 2,500 years, Khiva was the last capital of the Khorezm Kingdom. We’ll spend the day photographing the city, its people, and its unique architecture, including the famous blue tower with intricate details. Khiva stands out in Central Asia for preserving its shakhristan, or inner city, offering a rare chance to capture both historic buildings and daily life.
Day Seven: Flight to Tashkent
In the morning, we head to Urgench airport, where our tour comes to an end. From there, we take a flight to Tashkent, arriving around midday.
