Day One: Arrival in Tbilisi
Upon arrival in Tbilisi, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Along the way, you'll learn about Georgia’s rich culture and traditions. After check-in, you can relax, explore the streets, and enjoy Tbilisi’s welcoming atmosphere.
Day Two: Mtskheta - Tbilisi City Tour
After breakfast, you'll visit Mtskheta, Georgia’s first capital from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD and the country's religious center. The tour begins at the 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, followed by Jvari Temple, which offers stunning views of the Kura and Aragvi rivers. Back in Tbilisi, you'll explore the old town, including a cable car ride to Narikala Fortress, the Bridge of Peace, and visits to the Armenian Church, Jewish Synagogue, and Turkish Mosque. You'll also visit the historic sulfur baths, a royal bath complex from the 17th to 19th centuries. Stroll along Shardeni Street, known for its Parisian-style architecture, cafés, boutiques, and galleries. The tour continues to Juma Mosque on Botanical Street, Meydan Square, and concludes at Sioni Church, home to one of Georgia's greatest relics, the Cross of St. Patriarchate.
Day Three: Ananuri - Kazbegi - Gudauri - Gergeti - Tbilisi
The day begins with a visit to Ananuri Fortress, a historic castle complex on the Aragvi River. Next, you'll head to Gudauri, a scenic ski resort beautiful year-round, where you can admire mountain views from the Balcony of the Treaty of Georgiyevsk. A short drive takes you to Vedza Sour Waters, known for its picturesque scenery. The journey continues to Stepantsminda, where a 4-wheel vehicle will take you up to the 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church at 2,180 meters. From there, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek before returning to Tbilisi.
Day Four: Kakheti - Telavi - Batonis Tsikhe - Tsindandali - Tbilisi
In the morning, you'll head east to Kakheti, Georgia’s main winemaking region, starting with a visit to Telavi, its central city. Next, you'll explore the Tsinandali Estate, the historic home of the Chavchavadze family, known for its exotic tree labyrinth and wine cellars filled with Georgian and European vintages. The tour continues to Batonis Tsikhe, the fortress museum of King Erekle II. To end the day, you'll visit the famous Khareba winery, where you can taste local wines and take part in a shoti bread baking master class.
Day Five: Georgian-Armenian border - Goshavank - Haghartsin - Sevan - Yerevan
Day Six: Yerevan City Tour - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots
The journey continues around Yerevan, Armenia's ancient capital, founded in 782 B.C., 29 years older than Rome. During the city tour, you'll explore the city center and visit landmarks like the Cascade, the Opera and Ballet Theater, Mashtots Avenue, and Republic Square. The tour also includes a visit to the Matenadaran Museum, home to one of the richest manuscript collections in the world. The city tour ends at the Genocide Memorial, a solemn tribute to the first genocide of the 20th century. A short drive takes you to Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of Armenians worldwide. Here, you'll visit Echmiadzin Cathedral, the first Christian temple built after the adoption of Christianity in 301 AD. It houses the Holy Lance, an important religious relic, and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000. You'll also see the ruins of Zvartnots Temple, a 7th-century marvel and another UNESCO site.
Day Seven: Khor Virap - Noravank - Yerevan
The day starts with a trip to Ararat Province to visit Khor Virap Monastery, one of Armenia's holiest sites and the birthplace of Christianity in the country. You'll hike up a small hill to explore the monastery and enjoy stunning views of Biblical Mount Ararat. The tour continues through a narrow canyon to the valley of red rocks, where you'll visit Noravank Monastery. Built in the 13th century, it’s a masterpiece by architect Momik, with beautiful khachkars (cross-stones) scattered throughout the grounds.
Day Eight: Garni - Geghard - Yerevan
Today, you'll drive for an hour to the Canyon of the Azat River, where you'll visit Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site carved into the surrounding cliffs. The journey then continues to Garni village, home to the Garni Temple, the only remaining example of Hellenistic architecture in the region. After returning to Yerevan, you'll visit the History Museum of Armenia, known for its extensive archaeological, numismatic, and ethnographic collections. This marks the final day of your Georgia and Armenia tour.
Day Nine: Departure from Yerevan
Transfer to Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) for your departure.

What to Expect
This tour involves full days, typically 7 to 8 hours, with a significant amount of driving to reach key sites. While regular breaks are factored in, participants should be prepared for extended periods on their feet. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, though the itinerary can be adjusted slightly upon request. Weather conditions vary—summers can reach 38°C (100°F), while winters can drop to -8°C (17°F), so checking the forecast and packing appropriately is advised. Meals outside of breakfast are not included, and travelers should budget around $25 to $35 per day for food and incidental expenses. Flights, visa fees, and travel insurance are also excluded, and participants must verify visa requirements before departure.
Inclusions and Exclusions
The package covers airport transfers, 8 nights in 3-star (or higher) hotels with Wi-Fi, daily breakfast, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees, and transportation in air-conditioned vehicles. A 4-wheel-drive is provided for the visit to Gergeti Trinity Church, and a wine tasting in the Kakheti region is included. Flights and visas are not part of the package, and participants must share their flight details with Go-East Travel to coordinate transfers. Travel insurance is required. While time is allocated for meals, lunch and dinner are at the traveler’s expense, with options ranging from local restaurants to market purchases.
Accommodation
Lodging is in 3-star or higher-rated hotels, including Graphica Hotel and Brim in Tbilisi, and Ani Central Inn and Ani Plaza in Yerevan, though alternatives may be used based on availability. Standard pricing is based on double occupancy, with optional upgrades: £180 for a private 3-star room, £140 for a 4-star double/twin, and £220 for a 4-star single supplement.
