Please note that you can apply for your Chinese visa no earlier than three months before your arrival date in China. All applications made in the United Kingdom require travel to one of the Chinese visa centres located in London, Manchester or Edinburgh to provide a fingerprint impression.

 

Step One: Take a digital photo in accordance with the guidance here.

 

Step Two: Complete the online application form here. Please see below for guidance on questions.

 

Step Three: Download, print & sign the declaration form found here if applying from the United Kingdom.

 

Step Four: Print and sign the Go-East Travel post-booking PDF along with your airline tickets to show how you will get to and leave China and all locations visited. If you are unable to provide flight or train tickets you will need to fill out the form here.

 

Step Five: Gather your documents and follow the instructions provided following your application to the Chinese Visa Centre (step two).

 

Additional Information:

 

  • Customers with more than one nationality must provide all other passports they possess.
  • Non-British citizens applying from the United Kingdom should provide both the original and a photocopy of their certificates of residence, employment, or student status.
  • Customers who have previously visited China should provide a copy of previously obtained Chinese visas.
  • Customers who are making their own travel arrangements must include printed and signed confirmations from all hotels and transport links taken both within China and to enter and leave the country.
